Potatoes from controlled cultivation
The best potatoes come from trusted producers with whom we have had long-standing relationships. We have been working hand-in-hand with our grower community for over 40 years. The result is best quality in all areas – from the potato seed itself over the soil to the harvest itself. Regular soil and potato checks ensure this quality.
High quality sunflower oil makes your chips especially crispy.
We exclusively use vegetable oils to produce your favorite snacks. For our chips products we use for example particularly high quality sunflower oil to fry our potato chips.

Producing without gene technology
We do not use any genetically modified ingredients. And because this point is especially important to us, we make checks all along the production chain using all scientific methods available to us – just to be on the safe side!

Our Production: Proved and attested quality
Good quality does not come on its own and is something that we continuously work on. We set the highest standards for ourselves and keep strict regulations in order to continue to make products that you will love. Our entire production process is regularly controlled for quality by independent external institutes. In addition, we continuously check our product quality in our own laboratories.
Our quality is official: Our factories are certified according to the International Featured Standard (IFS) Food and British Retail Consortium (BRC). The Lorenz Snack-World Group is certified in accordance with DIN ISO 9001.

Acrylamide – we have made great strides in reduction.
Since acrylamide was discovered in 2002, we have been working hard at reducing it with all means. And this has been successful! A first step was to find out how it occurs – and then reduce its occurrence by more than 50%! We want to keep this rate – and reduce it even further!
How does acrylamide occur? Acrylamide forms quite naturally when you heat carbohydrate-rich products such as potatoes or cereal products. Acrylamide occurs when you fry, deep-fry or barbecue – regardless of whether it is on a private household or on a large industry scale.
So is this a reason to go without potato chips? In general, the role played by potato chips in the intake of acrylamide is very small. Potato chips tend to represent a very small percentage of the average diet. Compared to the common daily consumption of bread and coffee, the enjoyment of potato chips contributes less than 5 % to the total acrylamide intake. Experts recommend: keep a balanced diet to stay healthy.

Do you have a food allergy? This does not mean that you have to miss out on our snacks. We can identify almost all relevant allergens and avoid them wherever it is possible. If this is not possible due to the production process then the allergen information is clearly stated and displayed on our products.
