Wheat has been a basic human foodstuff for hundreds of years. Our Saltletts are made from this nutritious cereal. The selection of the wheat and the milling process that creates high quality flour are carried out in line with our principles of quality and sustainability.
Our quality requirements for the wheat from Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia are governed by strict specifications. We reject the use of genetically modified plants (GMO). The milling process takes place in mills certified by our experts, which satisfy the highest technical requirements. Some mills are also ISO and BRC certified.
We are keen to reduce the distances travelled by the raw materials to our production plants. So, for example, in Poland we use wheat from the farms near our Saltletts production facility and the mills are also located either near the factory or the farms.
Optimal calculations of the truck loads and precise planning of delivery times serve to ensure minimal fuel consumption for every ton of flour. The combination of all these factors helps us to conserve resources and produce the highest quality products in the long term.
